Mamiya RAW Digital Files Compatible with Capture One 4.1 Software
June 9, 2008 — Elmsford NY — “The Mamiya ZD 22 megapixel Digital Back has been a major success,” states Jeff Karp, Mamiya Product Marketing Manager. “Thanks to its excellent performance and aggressive pricing, many photographers have been able to enjoy the world of medium format digital photography.”
While Mamiya’s RAW digital files can be opened with Mamiya Digital PhotoStudio, Adobe® Photoshop® CS3 and Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom™, many high-end digital photographers have been asking for a version of Capture One software that can also open up Mamiya .MEF files. “With the release of Capture One 4.1 software,” says Karp, “Mamiya’s high-quality RAW file can now be opened and manipulated.” The latest program version from Phase One has expanded the compatibility of one of the most popular RAW file converters in the industry.
For tethered operation, the software that comes packed with the Mamiya ZD Digital Back (Mamiya Digital PhotoStudio) or the new Mamiya Remote Capture software (available for download from www.Mamiya.com in July) is required. This program allows you to control exposure, focusing, ISO setting, format selection (RAW, jpeg or both) and firing the camera directly from your computer. Capture One 4.1 has a new “Hot Folder” feature that pulls the images into Capture One as they are captured via Mamiya’s Remote Capture software.
Capture One 4.1 software is a free upgrade for current owners of Capture One software.
