Mamiya has partnered with fellow professional photographic industry world leaders Schneider, Phase One and Leaf to produce the best of all worlds – to produce two new professional digital cameras, the DM33, DM40 and DM56, designed to deliver the highest attainable image quality in most any professional photography situation.

Featuring 33, 40 and 56 megapixel sensors precision-matched with the world’s greatest optics results in exquisitely detailed image files, even when harshly cropped. The large sensors (up to 56mm) coupled with a lush 16 bit/channel color palette, provide exceptional color accuracy and rich high dynamic range photographs in just a single capture. Other digital camera systems simply cannot compare!

Shutter Technology Breakthrough
The heart of the DM33, DM40 and DM56 systems is the new “DF” camera-core technology, developed by Mamiya, featuring two user-selectable shutter systems - leaf or focal plane.

In demanding daylight situations, photographers can use one of three new leaf-shuttered lenses (55mm, 80mm, 110mm), designed by Schneider-Kreuznach and manufactured by Mamiya, for predictable high speed flash synchronization to fill-in or overpower even the brightest ambient light. For more conventional situations, photographers can choose to use one of 15 other world-class Mamiya optics, from 28mm to 300mm APO, designed for use with the cameras’ focal plane shutter system.

Regardless of shutter choice, photographers can look forward to the DM33’s, DM40's & DM56’s faster autofocus technology, as well as improved ergonomics and performance accuracy.

World’s Widest Pro Software Compatibility
Mamiya recognizes that stellar camera performance is of little value without equally powerful software options. That is why Mamiya offers photographers the flexibility of processing files using either of the included software solutions: Capture One™ by Phase One or Leaf Capture™, or you can choose to use Adobe Lightroom™ (not included) allowing the widest variety of professional processing software options available.

And all Mamiya Digital lenses are designed to work with film backs, not only digital backs!

Mamiya recognizes that different situations can call for different photographic tools, especially the software you use.  After all, software can be a very personal matter.  With this in mind, the Mamiya DM series is designed with the ultimate in software versatility, with Raw file processing compatibility with a number of applications, such as Adobe® Photoshop® CS4, and Lightroom® 2.

Included with all the Mamiya DM models are two of the most powerful software solutions for tethered shooting, as well as Raw file post-processing: Capture One™ DB and Leaf Capture™.   Regardless of which software application you choose to use, you will feel confident in knowing that your Mamiya DM is designed to work with the industry’s leading professional image processing solutions.
